Withdrawals
This page sets out how withdrawals work at upc0z, the controls we apply, and your responsibilities. These rules protect customers and meet our obligations under Liquor & Gaming NSW (licence 4597/2024/WB) and Australian anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing (AML/CTF) law.
How withdrawals are paid
Withdrawals are paid back to a verified payment method that you used to deposit. This is an anti-money-laundering measure: returning funds to the original source helps prevent money laundering and confirms that the person withdrawing is the genuine account holder.
Before any withdrawal is released, your identity must be verified (KYC). The minimum withdrawal amount is the amount shown in your account. For accepted methods and processing times, see the Payments page.
Back-up payment method
If the original payment method you used to deposit has expired, been closed, or is otherwise unavailable for receiving funds, we can pay your withdrawal to an alternative verified method. We will ask you to verify ownership of the back-up method before using it. This ensures you are not locked out of your funds while still keeping the payout tied to a verified account in your name.
Withdrawal limits and thresholds
Limits and thresholds apply to withdrawals:
- The minimum withdrawal is the amount shown in your account.
- Per-transaction and daily maximums may apply depending on the payment method.
- Large withdrawals above a review threshold may be held briefly while we complete additional verification and checks before release.
These thresholds are part of our risk and AML controls. Most withdrawals are not affected, but larger or unusual transactions may take longer to approve.
Withdrawal cancellation and reversal
A pending withdrawal may be cancelled or reversed back to your betting balance before it has been processed. This control exists for genuine reasons — for example, if you entered the wrong amount.
However, reversal is deliberately limited. The ability to pull a pending withdrawal back into your betting balance and gamble it (sometimes called "reverse withdrawal") is a recognised harm vector. To discourage this, once a withdrawal has been approved and moved into processing it generally cannot be reversed, and we may restrict repeated cancellations. Where you have requested a withdrawal, our default position is to pay it out rather than return it to play.
Source-of-funds enquiries
We may request evidence of your source of funds or source of wealth as part of our AML/CTF compliance. This can include documents such as payslips, bank statements or other proof of how the funds were obtained.
Where such evidence is required, we may hold a withdrawal pending receipt and review of that evidence. We will tell you what is needed and aim to release approved withdrawals promptly once the checks are complete. These enquiries are a legal requirement, not a reflection on you personally.
Inactive accounts and NSW unclaimed money
If your account becomes inactive for an extended period, we will take reasonable steps to contact you and return your balance to a verified method. Where we cannot return the funds and the account remains inactive, the balance may be treated as unclaimed money under NSW law and dealt with in accordance with that legislation, which may include remitting it to the relevant NSW authority. You may then be able to reclaim it from that authority. We will always try to pay your balance to you first. See the Account closure page for more detail.
Tax on winnings
upc0z does not generally withhold tax on your winnings. In Australia, recreational gambling winnings are typically not taxed as income, but your individual circumstances may differ. You are responsible for your own tax position. If you are unsure, seek advice from a qualified tax professional or the Australian Taxation Office.
