Accessibility
upc0z targets conformance with WCAG 2.2 at Level AA across the site. We treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-off project, and we work to ensure that people with disability can find races, read form and field tables, place bets, manage their account, and access support on equal terms with other customers.
This statement explains the accessibility features we provide, the standards we apply, the limitations we are aware of, and how to ask for content or assistance in a format that works for you.
Accessibility Features
We build and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA success criteria. Key features include:
- Keyboard navigation across interactive elements, so the site can be operated without a mouse.
- Skip links that let keyboard and screen reader users move directly to the main content.
- A logical heading structure that conveys page hierarchy to assistive technology.
- Alternative text for meaningful images, with decorative images marked so they are skipped.
- ARIA labels and roles where native semantics are not sufficient.
- Visible focus indicators so the currently focused control is always clear.
- Accessible form validation, where errors are announced and programmatically associated with the relevant fields.
- Data tables with proper row and column headers, which is particularly important for racing fields and form tables so that odds, runners, and selections remain understandable when read out of visual context.
- Considered handling of time-based content, including session timeouts. Where a session is about to expire, we provide warning and, where practical, the ability to request more time before being logged out.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
We aim to support common assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnification software, and voice control. We test with current versions of widely used screen readers and browsers. Because assistive technologies and browsers update frequently, occasional inconsistencies can occur; if you experience a problem with a specific combination of tools, please tell us so we can investigate and prioritise a fix.
Bet Slip and Wagering Accessibility
The bet slip and core wagering flows are a priority for accessibility. We work to ensure that adding selections, reviewing stakes and potential returns, and confirming a bet can be completed using a keyboard or assistive technology, with clear announcements at each step and accessible error messaging where a bet cannot be placed.
Mobile Accessibility
We design the site to be responsive and usable on mobile devices, including support for device-level accessibility settings such as larger text, increased contrast, and platform screen readers and voice control. Touch targets are sized to be operable, and content reflows to avoid horizontal scrolling at common screen sizes.
PDFs and Documents
Some documents are provided in PDF form. We are progressively improving the accessibility of these documents. Some legacy PDFs may not yet fully conform to our target standard. If you need a document in a more accessible form, please contact support and we will assist.
Requesting Alternative Formats
You can request key documents, including our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Help content, in alternative accessible formats. Contact our support team at our support email (see Contact Us) and describe the format you need (for example, a tagged accessible document or plain text). We will work with you to provide a suitable version.
Known Limitations
We aim to be honest about where we fall short. At present, we are aware of the following limitations:
- Some third-party embedded content, such as streamed media, widgets, or externally hosted components, may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, because it is produced and controlled by other providers.
- Some legacy PDFs and older documents may not yet meet our target standard and are being remediated over time.
Where you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please report it to support so we can record and address it.
Third-Party Content Disclaimer
Parts of the site may include content, media, or functionality supplied by third parties. While we choose providers with accessibility in mind and raise issues with them, we do not control how that content is built and cannot guarantee its conformance. Where third-party content creates a barrier, contact us and we will try to provide the information or function in an alternative way.
