Integrity
upc0z is committed to protecting the integrity of racing and sport. Fair, transparent and corruption-free competition is essential to the betting markets we offer and to the confidence of our customers. This page explains how upc0z is authorised to operate, the controlling bodies we work with, and the rules and arrangements that protect betting integrity.
Licensing and trading name
upc0z is a trading name through which our licensed wagering services are offered. We operate under Liquor & Gaming NSW licence 4597/2024/WB, and we conduct our business in accordance with the conditions of that licence and applicable NSW and Commonwealth law. Our registered operator details and contact address are: 101 Sheridan Street, CAIRNS QLD 4870.
Race-fields agreements. To offer betting on Australian racing, wagering operators must enter into race-fields agreements (also known as race-fields approvals) with the relevant racing controlling bodies. At a high level, these agreements authorise us to use race-field information — such as the names and numbers of runners — and require us to pay product fees and, importantly, to comply with integrity conditions. Those conditions include providing betting data to controlling bodies and cooperating with integrity investigations. Race-fields arrangements are therefore both a commercial and an integrity framework.
NSW racing controlling authorities
Racing in New South Wales is overseen by three statutory controlling authorities, each responsible for a code of racing and each operating under its own Act:
- Racing NSW (thoroughbred racing) — Thoroughbred Racing Act 1996 (NSW)
- Harness Racing NSW — Harness Racing Act 2009 (NSW)
- Greyhound Racing NSW — Greyhound Racing Act 2017 (NSW)
We hold the necessary race-fields approvals with these authorities and comply with their rules of racing and integrity requirements.
Sporting controlling bodies
For betting on sport, upc0z cooperates with the relevant national sporting controlling bodies and, where required, holds integrity and betting agreements with them. The bodies we cooperate with include:
- AFL (Australian Football League)
- NRL (National Rugby League)
- Cricket Australia
- The A-Leagues (Football Australia)
- Tennis Australia
- Basketball Australia / NBL
These arrangements typically allow the relevant body to approve the bet types we offer on their competitions, require us to share betting information, and oblige us to report and assist with the investigation of any suspicious activity.
Sport Integrity Australia and information sharing
upc0z supports the work of Sport Integrity Australia, the national agency responsible for protecting the integrity of Australian sport. We participate in information-sharing arrangements with Sport Integrity Australia, racing controlling authorities, sporting controlling bodies and law enforcement. This means we may share account, transaction and betting-pattern information where it is lawful and appropriate to do so for integrity purposes. Information shared for these purposes is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy.
Inside information
"Inside information" (also called insider information) is knowledge about a racing or sporting event that is not publicly available and that could reasonably affect a betting market — for example, undisclosed information about a participant's fitness, team selection, equipment, tactics or intentions, or about the conduct of an event.
It is prohibited to:
- use inside information to place a bet, or to instruct or arrange for someone else to place a bet;
- disclose inside information to another person who could use it for betting; or
- receive a benefit in connection with the use or disclosure of inside information.
Participants, officials and others bound by the rules of racing and sport are subject to these prohibitions, and upc0z will not facilitate betting that relies on inside information. Misuse of inside information can be a breach of the rules of racing or sport and, in some cases, a criminal offence.
Suspicious betting alerts
We monitor betting activity for signs of integrity concerns, including unusual betting patterns, betting that is inconsistent with publicly available information, and activity that may indicate match-fixing or the misuse of inside information. Where we identify a suspicious betting alert, we escalate it internally and report it to the relevant controlling body, Sport Integrity Australia, Liquor & Gaming NSW and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
Prohibited bet types
We only offer bet types that are approved by the relevant racing or sporting controlling body. Certain bet types — particularly so-called "spot" or "micro" bets on isolated incidents that are more vulnerable to manipulation — may be prohibited. We do not offer betting markets that a controlling body has not approved, and we remove or suspend markets where integrity concerns arise.
Cooperation with investigations
upc0z cooperates fully with integrity investigations conducted by racing controlling authorities, sporting controlling bodies, Sport Integrity Australia, Liquor & Gaming NSW and law enforcement. This includes providing records, betting data and account information in response to lawful requests, suspending or voiding bets where required, and assisting with enquiries. Customers who engage in or facilitate corrupt conduct may have their accounts suspended or closed and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Reporting integrity concerns
If you have information about possible corruption in racing or sport, or a concern about the integrity of a betting market, please contact us at our support email (see Contact Us) or call 1800 858 858. You can also report concerns directly to Sport Integrity Australia at sportintegrity.gov.au. We treat integrity reports seriously and confidentially.
